The Altum Pack make their home in a dark canopy forest, ridden with lakes and prey.

ALPHESS POPPI
Some may not believe that there is such a thing as a natural-born leader, but with Poppi, that’s not the case.
Poppi is outgoing, and very optimistic. What gives her leader abilities is her extrovert trait. Extroverts are known for their social abilities, and optimism. Poppi is no exception! Poppi has a radiant personality, and is very curious of her surroundings. She may be a kind, gentle wolf, but she maintains a dominant air. Despite her dominance, she has a soft spot for the youngest members of her pack. Poppi was a loving, older sister to her “siblings.” She has gone through a lot in her life, but she remains open to experience, especially since she is not afraid to make mistakes. Her only fear is making a mistake that will affect the whole pack.
Poppi’s parents died when she was very young. Since she was the oldest, and her “siblings” were too young to live on their own in the wild, she needed to watch over them. Poppi was of her parents’ first litter, there being 3 pups, only she survived. Poppi’s “siblings” were her parents’ second litter, there being 2. After her parents’ death, Poppi took it upon herself to care for the younger pups. Poppi and the pups left the pack, because they were sick of the rules, and wanted to branch off, living as rogues next to the border. Poppi had come from an extinct pack, known as Aranea. After the big fight that caused the extinction of the Aranea Pack, the siblings split, leaving Poppi by herself. From a lightning bolt, a fire accidentally spread across the whole Aranea Pack’s territory, and the outside of it. Poppi had no choice but to join Altum pack, the closest pack, and leave her forest behind. She eventually became a trusted wolf, and was no longer seen as a rogue.
Poppi has medium length fur, and her ears are straight. She has a little white under her chin, and her eyes are yellow-green. Poppi is a two and half year old Alexander Archipelago wolf, and she is three feet six inches tall. From nose to tail, she is 6 feet long. She is a lightweight wolf, being roughly 100 pounds. Being light is common for Alexander Archipelago wolves. (Commonly being small.)

ALPHA HIRO
With a lust for life and a gentle heart, Hiro is proud to be a soldier of the lovely Altum pack. In drastic contrast with the surroundings of the dark canopy forest he lives in, his coat is a pale tan shade. He sports a silvery gray-flecked back with red lining the shoulders and ears. Hiro is a 2.5-year-old Eastern Timber Wolf and Arctic Wolf mix. His eyes are a gentle shade of gray, which soften out the harsh look of his huge frame. Standing at 4 feet in height and 6'6" in length, his 198-pound body is slightly intimidating. However, Hiro is different on the inside. He is kind, has a gentle heart, and has a love for being loved. He was once the average brute, acting however he wanted, but he was softened forever by his past experiences.
Hiro lay on his back, exposing his belly to the brute beside him. They laughed, talked, and shared secrets about the faes of their large families. They lived together in a warm, bright clearing filled with abundant prey and endless exploration. Today, Hiro and Asher were relaxing by the long, winding river they had recently discovered. It was arranged for Hiro to become the mate of Asher's sister, Aiyana, and Asher the mate of Hiro's sister, Maricela, when the sun began to sink behind the trees. This had been going on for generations between their families, tracing back to when their ancestors had first offered their offspring as mates in exchange for prey and shelter. Asher's family would reproduce with Hiro's family, and Hiro's family would protect Asher's family from harm. It was almost time for them to get to know their new mates, the boys knew, but they preferred just being young brutes, nothing more. The two were only about a year old each, but their families had a history of "finding" mates early. Hiro was quite comfortable with taking his best friend's beautiful sister as a mate, but he was sure Asher did not feel the same.
"I know you don't want to do it," Hiro mumbled, turning to face his friend.
Asher pushed his nose into the soft leaf mulch below them, hiding his eyes beneath his paws.
The two sighed as their mothers sprinted down the hill, skidding to a stop just above the river bank.
"Hiro, you had better come over here right this instant! Aiyana has been waiting since the sun was high in the sky, and your fur is a wreck!" Hiro's mother, Dove, exclaimed, licking him violently. Hiro pulled away, knowing his mate would notice that he smelled as if his mother had cleaned him.
Asher's mother, Lin, did something similar, but instead Asher rushed up the hill from which their mothers came, shaking out his red-brown fur as he approached their clearing. Hiro followed suit, quickly catching up to his best friend. They paused at the edge of the clearing, kicking leaf mulch on each other to mask the scent of their mothers before meeting their future mates in the center. Aiyana had obviously prepared. Her graceful white fur had clearly been washed in the stream nearby; it was the most dazzling ivory color and the ground surrounding them was strewn about with the most beautiful of flowers. Aiyana's gorgeously sleek, small frame sat tall, her head tilting up to allow her pure amber eyes to gaze into Hiro's. He could feel his flanks heating up as she rested her chin on the large mane of fur around his neck. Hiro's feathery tail left the ground, guiding itself upward. The position of his tail proclaimed one thing to all the males around:
This is my beautiful mate.
Her gentle exhales ruffled the fur around his shoulders. He glanced over at Asher and Maricela. Things were not going so well with his best friend and equally pretty sister. Hiro shook his head, and looked to the other side of the clearing. A den had been made for Aiyana and Hiro, strewn with flower petals and soft moss. The opening had willow branches balanced against it, the leaves hanging from the twigs draped in the most graceful way.
Hiro nuzzled her scruff, inhaling its sweet scent as he rose to his feet. He wrapped his tail around her flank on the side opposite him, guiding her to the den. They stopped at the willow branches, Hiro parting the carefully draped leaves to let Aiyana through. A large pile of soft leaves and petals awaited them. Hiro nudged her hindquarters, prompting her to lay down, as he took his place beside her. She snuggled into his thick fur, and he licked behind her ears. A deep, gentle growl sounded in her chest. She turned to look at him, parting her lips slightly to reveal her teeth. She nipped his ear playfully. This teasing continued back and forth until the two slept peacefully.
A loud rustling sounded in the bushes surrounding Aiyana and Hiro's den. Aiyana was not disturbed, but Hiro was bothered enough by it that he rose to his feet. Exiting the den, he watched the bushes rustle and rustle. His heartbeat quickened, fur standing on end. Hiro prepared himself to protect Aiyana.
A mouse hopped out of the bush.
Hiro chuckled at himself, feeling as though he should visit the river he and Asher had relaxed by the previous day. The closer he got, the louder the sound of splashing and struggle became. Eventually, Hiro was running to the river, feeling the spray of the quick-moving water on his nose as he reached the banks. Everything around was pitch black except for the parting of the leaves in the forest to allow the beams of the moon to shine through. Traveling quickly past was a soaked red blob, which, when it reached a patch of light, revealed itself to Hiro as the body of Asher. With a large roar of surprise, the huge brute did the first thing his mind told him to.
I need to jump.
With a big splash, Hiro hit the water. Fighting to keep his head above the raging current, the brute latched on to his lighter friend, dragging him to the surface and watching him vomit water immediately. Hiro scrambled to grip a branch dangling over the water, but slipped and continued to be tossed by the current, sharp rocks drawing blood from each of the weakened bodies. Asher was unconscious by now, but his yellow eyes opened for a split second as he noticed Hiro keeping him afloat. By now, the river had split into several tributaries, guiding the two with the river's random paths. Hiro had lost all sense of direction, but the two approached an opening in the bank. Asher's eyes flickered open once more and, as if he had regained all his strength, he shoved Hiro onto the shore.
Hiro vomited water beside the river, but quickly got to his feet once more. He was extremely dizzy, but Asher was still in the river. The opening in the bank had collapsed, so Hiro had to find Asher another way to escape. Hiro sprinted alongside the bank, almost falling in but catching himself at times. Soon, another fork in the river came into view. Hiro willed it not to guide Asher into the path across the river from Hiro, but it was too late.
Hiro stopped running, but his head kept moving. His peripheral vision was fading. He vomited water and collapsed, feeling his lungs give out.
He woke up healed by the Altum pack, introduced to his new life by force and ever indebted to the wolves that rescued him.
Now all he needed was Aiyana.

HEALER KESTREL
Kestrel is the healer of the Lumen pack. The fae is a hot-headed, stubborn, and cunning red wolf. Wolves of the pack say that she chose the wrong fate, for Kestrel doesn't usually enjoy her job. Kestrel is 6 years old, skinny, but with a surprising length of 6'7 and height of 4'.
When Kestrel was a young fae, she saved the life of her father from knowing an herb to help him survive. This inspired Kestrel, realizing how good it felt to save a life, especially her own fathers! When she came to the Lumen pack, she became healer. She was happy at first, but as time went on she grew bitter and less loving to her job. A day she'll never forget is when she lost her love, the one true wolf that understood her. Because she could do nothing to save him.
